What?

Youri Tielemans has turned down another contract offer from Leicester City, if recent reports are to be believed.

That's according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who claims the midfielder will not extend his stay at the King Power beyond 2023.

The Mail adds to that claim, saying Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal, as well as European giants Real Madrid and Juventus are 'circling'.

The clubs are reportedly on 'high alert' as the chances of Tielemans being available in the summer increase, although they face a battle to land his signature should he leave Leicester.

Reports from The Mirror emerged earlier this week saying the 24-year-old is a target for United and they're confident of landing him in a £40m deal.

Liverpool have long been linked with a move for Tielemans and rumours intensified following the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum on a free transfer last summer.

Reports from Spain suggest Liverpool are among the clubs interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong

Sport claims both the Reds and Bayern Munich are the player's strongest admirers, but whether he departs the Camp Nou will depend on the player himself.

It goes on to say there is concern at Barcelona regarding De Jong's 'low spirits' and that he's not entirely happy at the La Liga club.

However, manager Xavi Hernandez reportedly views the 24-year-old as integral to the future of the team and is 'absolutely non-transferable'.

The article adds that Barcelona must provide the Dutchman with a project that allows him to win titles, or they risk losing him to another European giant.

Bukayo Saka

Evening Standard

What?

Arsenal are reportedly set to open contract talks with Bukayo Saka amid rumours linking him with a move away from the Emirates.

The London club are looking to secure the player's long-term future as he's sent to entire the final two years of his deal in the summer.

According to the Evening Standard, Mikel Arteta views Saka as 'part of the club's DNA' and Arsenal are looking to 'reward him for his progress and importance to the team'.

Arteta said: “It is a conversation we are going to have with the player, then his agent, his family — [talks] which are going to be extremely important as well — so everybody is on board.

“Obviously, our desire is to keep Bukayo as long as possible, because we are really happy. He is part of our club, our DNA, he is growing, he is maturing.

“His importance in the team is unquestionable and we want to keep our best talent, that’s for sure.”

Liverpool are among the clubs that have been tipped to sign the England international should he leave Arsenal, but the Gunners are certainly keeping a firm grip on one of their brightest young stars.
