Liverpool's hopes of finishing in the top four of the Premier League received two huge boosts on Sunday, as both Manchester United and Newcastle United lost their respective matches.
Newcastle were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal at St James' Park in the day's early fixture, before relegation-threatened West Ham United beat the Red Devils 1-0 after a howler from David De Gea.
The results mean that Liverpool are well in the race, having made it six wins in succession with a 1-0 victory over Brentford at Anfield. Mohamed Salah netted the only goal of the game, putting Liverpool just a point behind United and three behind Newcastle having played a game more.

Also on Saturday, Harry Kane ended Tottenham Hotspur's winless record to keep themselves in the rearview of Liverpool with Brighton chasing the Reds but Salah's 30th goal of the season extended the gap to those trailing. The attention turns to the London Stadium on Sunday as Liverpool call upon the Hammers to pile further pressure on United.

May 15 - Leicester City (A): A trip to the King Power Stadium to face the relegation-threatened Foxes follows. Dean Smith's side sit above the relegation zone on goal difference and Liverpool will be hoping to continue their winning run away from home.
May 20 - Aston Villa (H): Unai Emery's side suffered straight defeats to Manchester United and Wolves to all-but end their aspirations of Europe. While the pressure will be off slightly, Liverpool have extra incentive to cement their spot in the hat for Europe next season - whatever the competition.
May 28 - Southampton (A): The Reds will be hoping their name will already be in the hat for European competition next season by this stage. The curtain for their Premier League campaign comes down against Southampton, who currently sit bottom of the table.
