Liverpool earned a smash and grab win over Inter Milan in their Champions League last-16 match at the San Siro on Wednesday night, as goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah handed them a huge advantage for the second leg at Anfield.
Roberto Firmino produced a superb flicked header from Andy Robertson’s in-swinging corner in the 75th minute and eight minutes later Salah’s deflected shot caught Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic flat-footed as it snuck into the net.
