Liverpool news: Jurgen Klopp makes Sadio Mane admission as Roy Keane predicts FA Cup result

You sense the coming week will be one for Liverpool supporters to enjoy.

While the team have been tackling the serious business of a quadruple push with gumption in April, up next are Premier League matches at Anfield against underperforming rivals - Manchester United on Tuesday and Everton on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp and the team will be big favourites to win both encounters comfortably. They will also be desperate to keep the pressure up on Manchester City too, with Pep Guardiola's side not in action until Wednesday against Brighton & Hove Albion, giving the Reds the chance to go top, at least momentarily.

Mirror Sport has all the latest Reds news ahead of a huge week for Liverpool and their title push.

Klopp outlines Diaz impact on Mane

Speaking on the eve of the showdown with United, Klopp detailed how the January arrival of Luis Diaz has helped invigorate Sadio Mane.

The latter has been moved to play in a more central position in recent weeks, with Diaz thrilling in his roll on the left flank. Mane has thrived at the point of the attack and has showcased his predatory instincts with three goals in two outings against Manchester City in the last week.

"I've known Sadio nearly six years, as far as I have known him he's never needed competition to be the best version of himself," said Klopp at his press conference on Monday. "I'm not sure bringing in Luis affected that part of his game, but playing centre suits Sadio very well as well."

Keane makes Reds prediction

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane believes Liverpool will be too strong for Chelsea in the FA Cup final on May 14.

The Blues booked their spot alongside the Reds in the Wembley showpiece with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday, meaning the two teams will meet in a repeat of the Carabao Cup final earlier in the season. While that was a tight game that Liverpool eventually won on penalties, Keane feels as though the Reds are currently in a much better position than their upcoming opponents.

He said: "If any team’s going to beat Liverpool this season it’ll have to be some effort. The feel good factor, the quality of the players. They look sharp, they look strong, great squad, great manager, they’ll take a lot of stopping... [Chelsea are] not as sharp or as strong as Liverpool."

Alexander-Arnold sends message

Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has said all associated with the Reds should be looking to enjoy their fight for four trophies.

The Reds' win over City on Saturday put them into the final of the FA Cup, while Klopp's side have earned a favourable draw in the Champions League semi-finals too, where they will be expected to get past Villarreal.

Alexander-Arnold has said ahead of another big week that it's important to savour situations like the one the team is currently in, although said he doesn't want runs like these to be one offs.

"Once you come back from the internationals, it gets really tasty doesn’t it? The games matter, it’s the best time of year. We are now in a position to enjoy it and anyone who doesn’t - well, it’s a massive disappointment if you can’t enjoy it.

"Hopefully it won’t be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity but this is the first time we’ve been in this position."
