Liverpool's season is going from bad to worse, with Jurgen Klopp 's men having now suffered successive defeats in the Premier League to drop to ninth in the table.
The Reds' performances in those two games has now been slammed as being "inexcusable". Klopp's side now find themselves 15 points adrift of leaders Arsenal, with the defeat at home to Leeds a new low point.
The criticism of their displays comes as former Reds star Dietmar Hamann questioned their transfer policy and Klopp demanded an improvement from his beleaguered squad. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Liverpool news.
Liverpool slammed for Leeds display
Two successive defeats have left Liverpool's season on life support, with any hope of winning the title now gone.
A win over Manchester City had led to belief that they could kickstart their season, but defeats to Nottingham Forest and Leeds have pushed them back. And former Arsenal star Paul Merson has now taken aim at the Reds for their displays in recent weeks.
"To put in a performance like Liverpool did against Manchester City and then follow it up with defeats against Nottingham Forest and Leeds is inexcusable. Liverpool took one step forward and four steps back!" Merson told Sky Sports.

Reds' transfer policy questioned
Former Liverpool star Dietmar Hamann has called for the Reds to be more adventurous in the transfer market.
Darwin Nunez, Calvin Ramsay and Fabio Carvalho were the only signings Liverpool made in the summer window. And Hamann believes they need to push themselves further if they are to complete the refresh their squad appears to badly need.
"I would like Liverpool to sign someone a bit more adventurous, someone like Joelinton from Newcastle who has a physical presence can get you a goal and he has the full package. A player like him would suit Liverpool down to the ground," he said.
Klopp demands more from beleaguered troops
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has demanded an improvement from his squad amid their dreadful season.
The Reds have already lost four games so far this season, with a battle for the top four now looming. And Klopp believes his team needs to step up if they are to qualify for the Champions League next season.
“We expect more from ourselves, the boys expect more, I expect more from them. It’s just that we have to make sure that we get there with steps. In this game [vs Leeds] we had some good moments but the goalie had an exceptional game," he said.
