Liverpool are set for a busy summer, having already seen plenty of changes to their squad after a disappointing campaign.
Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita have all departed on free transfers, while Alexis Mac Allister has been signed from Brighton for £45m. Jurgen Klopp is looking to rebuild his squad after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
And Jorg Schmadtke has been tasked with leading Liverpool's rebuild, having been appointed sporting director following the departure of Julian Ward. Here's all the latest news from Anfield.
Carragher's transfer expectations
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is expecting his former club to sign three more players this summer, following the addition of Mac Allister.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Carragher said: "I think they need another midfield player at least. I think Liverpool will end up getting another two midfield players and I think they'll need another defender as well.
"Whether that's a centre-back or a full-back remains to be seen. There's a lot of talk whether Liverpool will keep the system they finished the season with and that's really interesting, but I think they'll get another three players in."
Liverpool receive Kone update
Borussia Monchengladbach chief Roland Virkus has admitted the club will be willing to sell Liverpool target Manu Kone if the price is right.
Kone is one of several midfielders that have been heavily linked with a switch to Anfield this summer, having impressed with his performances for the Bundesliga side last season. And Virkus has admitted they are open to selling Kone or any other player, providing their asking price is met
"Our attitude is well-known," Virkus told German outlet Kicker. "If there are sums involved that a club like Borussia has to think about, we will do it."
However, reports from Sky Sport Germany claim that Kone is now "very unlikely" to join the Reds, who admire the 22-year-old but are not said to see him as a priority right now.
Reds urged to sign Arsenal target
Peter Crouch has urged his former side to try and hijack Arsenal's move for West Ham star Declan Rice, backing him to be a "great addition" in the centre of the park.
"Alexis Mac Allister is a good signing for Liverpool," Crouch told Paddy Power. "He's a great player but the fans will want more signings before next season. Defensive reinforcements and another midfielder would be welcome.
"I know he's being linked elsewhere but I'd absolutely love to see Declan Rice come in as well. He's a class act and I think he could go to any club and be a great signing for them. It probably won't be Liverpool as he's going to be very expensive, but it would be a great addition."
