Gremio have confirmed the signing of Luis Suarez as a free agent with the striker putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.
Former Liverpool forward Suarez became a free agent in October after seeing out the end of his contract with boyhood Uruguayan club Nacional - a return he made in a bid to build fitness ahead of the World Cup.
Brazilian side Gremio confirmed the signing of Suarez on Saturday evening, with the 35-year-old set to star at the Arena do Grêmio until the end of 2024, at which point he will be 37.

Former Reds teammate and current Gremio player Lucas Leiva took to Twitter after the announcement to greet Suarez. He tweeted: "Welcome @LuisSuarez9!! Porto Alegre awaits you with great affection."
The combative midfielder will likely have to wait to play with his new teammate however, after recently being pulled from training after routine medical screening detected a potential heart issue.
Current Reds midfielder and Brazil international Arthur Melo also sent a message of encouragement to Suarez, tweeting: "You will be very happy in our Tricolor, big @LuisSuarez9!"
Melo spent eight years at Gremio, where he came through the youth ranks before making his debut for the club in 2015.
