Naby Keita back in Liverpool training as Jurgen Klopp confirms Ibrahima Konate return date

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Naby Keita is back in training but Liverpool aren’t expecting any of their injured players to be available in time to face West Ham United on Wednesday night.

While the Reds welcomed back Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold from setbacks last week, they also lost Diogo Jota to a serious calf injury against Man City which will now rule the Portuguese out of the World Cup.

Fortunately for Klopp, he had better news regarding the majority of his walking wounded as they all continue their respective rehabilitations, with Keita joining Curtis Jones and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in recently returning to training. However, despite the England Under-21s international featuring on the bench against Man City, none of the trio are yet ready to play for the first team.

Jurgen Klopp sends 'incredible' Darwin Nunez message after what Liverpool striker did in training

Jurgen Klopp has backed Darwin Nunez to score more goals for Liverpool as the Uruguayan continues to find his feet in the Premier League.

Having scored against both Arsenal and Rangers, the £64m summer signing was unable to get his name on the scoresheet after being reduced to substitute duty against Man City on Sunday. However, with Diogo Jota joining Luis Diaz as a long-term absentee, the 23-year-old is poised for an extended run in the the Reds starting XI in the pair's absence.

Insisting it is rare for players to settle immediately both at Anfield and in the Premier League, Klopp hailed the 23-year-old's impact for his side so far as he offered an insight into what he's seeing from Nunez, who finish join-25th in this year's Ballon d'Or, in training at the AXA Training Centre on a daily basis.
