Liverpool could be now set to face competition from Bayern Munich for the signature of Mason Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Mount will soon be entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and is on course to leave unless an unlikely agreement can be made.
Jurgen Klopp is said to be a big admirer of the England midfielder and there is speculation the Reds could make a move for Mount - who is reportedly valued at £50million by the West London club.

Chelsea have been on a recruitment spree and have a large squad at present, hence why other clubs may be looking to sign the 24-year-old for a cut-price fee.
The Times report: "Thomas Tuchel, the newly appointed Bayern head coach, is a strong admirer of Mount who he considered a key player in his Champions League-winning Chelsea team of 2021 during their 18 months together.
"Liverpool have expressed a strong interest in signing Mount as part of Jürgen Klopp’s reboot at Anfield but they are among a group of clubs in the Premier League and across Europe watching the situation closely."
