Liverpool make Luis Diaz decision but four missing at Brighton

Jurgen Klopp makes three changes to his Liverpool team as they are entertained by Brighton at the Amex Stadium.

Luis Diaz, Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson return to the side as Roberto Firmino is left in reserve on the substitutes' bench.

Firmino returned to training at the start of the week but was absent from the match-day squad for Tuesday's defeat to Inter in the Champions League.

However, the Brazil striker is ready for bench duty on the south coast as Virgil van Dijk partners February Player of the Month Joel Matip in defence.

There's once again no place for Ibrahima Konate in the squad - Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi also miss out - but a strong-looking bench also contains Diogo Jota and Thiago Alcantara alongside Firmino.

Mohamed Salah starts on the right of the front three as he aims to reach 20 goals for a fourth successive Premier League campaign.

The Egypt star is joined by Diaz on the left and Sadio Mane through the middle as Liverpool aim to go within three points of Manchester City at the summit of the Premier League.

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Keita; Salah, Mane, Diaz.

Subs: Kelleher, Thiago, Milner, Firmino, Gomez, Jones, Jota, Tsimikas, Elliott.
