With pre-season round the corner, Liverpool are ready and raring to go after completing their transfer business earlier this month.
But that hasn't stopped the Reds from casting their eye out across Europe and the rest of the world to see if there are any bargains to be found that can add something a bit different to a team that reached the final in every competition they entered last season. Liverpool are in a transfer battle with AC Milan for Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio, according to reports.
The Spaniard has been told he will not be getting a new contract offer from the Spanish giants and with 12 months left on his current deal, Asensio is weighing up his options. The Reds have since made a contract offer to the 26-year-old and are seemingly a frontrunner for the talented forward, according to the report.

Liverpool have turned their attention to Luka Sucic as an alternative to Jude Bellingham, according to reports.
The Croatian midfielder is seen as a 'Jude Bellingham-type' player and impressed in the second-half of last season for RB Salzburg, where he found the back of the net eight times and set up two goals in 12 appearances. Seen as a move for next season in case Bellingham does not pan out, Sucic would be an ideal replacement following another season of senior football.
