M&S Bank Arena moves gig due to clash with Champions League final

A major event at the M&S Bank Arena has been rescheduled after fans spotted it clashed with the upcoming Champions League final.

Reminisce in Concert, from the team behind the much-loved St Helens dance festival and in partnership with In Demand Radio, was set to go ahead on May 28, 2022. However, organisers have now rescheduled the event after spotting a clash.

May 28 is the date set for the Champions League final and with Liverpool FC fans hopeful, many with tickets to Reminisce in Concert shared their concerns with organisers. Due to this, the team made the decision to move the event because they “don’t want any of our audience to miss out on this fixture if they [LFC] make it all the way”.

The event will showcase music from Quadrant Park, The State, 051, The Buzz, Garlands, 90s Ibiza, Reminisce and much more, alongside “very special guest appearances” from Reminisce history. Fans can expect a full stage production as the club is brought to the arena.

The M&S Bank Arena shared the news on Instagram, along with a new date. The full post read: “IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT The Champions League Final is due to take place on the same date in May as our Reminisce In Concert show at the M&S Bank Arena.

“We know a lot of you are hoping that Liverpool F.C. will be contenders for this, and we wouldn’t want any of our audience to miss out on this fixture if they make it all the way. Our messages and emails have been inundated with concerns about this possible clash. Due to this, Reminisce is announcing the rescheduling of Reminisce In Concert at the M&S Bank Arena to Saturday 29th April 2023.

“It may seem a bit premature, but due to the nature and scale of this production we have had no choice but to make this decision now before it’s too late in the day. We’ve been in talks with the M&S Bank Arena team and we all feel that this is the best decision at this moment in time.

“Everyone who has already purchased a ticket for this concert will be able to carry this over to the new date of Saturday 29th April 2023 or of course request a refund if you no longer wish to attend. We know you’re just as excited as us for this show! Early bird tickets sold out within three hours and general sale tickets are flying out every day.

“Make no mistake - we have huge plans and this show is not to be missed. We’re really looking forward to bringing you a Reminisce show as you’ve never seen it before - we’re just going to have to wait a little while longer. See you there.”

Reminisce in Concert will now go ahead on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Tickets are available here .
