Paul Gorst - Jota starts to answer Diaz question
Liverpool's team news has been characterised by a lack of changes in recent weeks but the midweek win over Fulham did at least see Jurgen Klopp make as many as three as Kostas Tsimikas, Darwin Nunez and Jordan Henderson all started.
For this one, I can see Cody Gakpo coming back into the fold to lead the line down the centre. The Netherlands international is really starting to find his feet now and looks tailor-made to replace Roberto Firmino as the long-term No.9 at Liverpool.
The question then is whether or not Luis Diaz is fit enough for a third successive start after such a long time out? If not, I think Diogo Jota might come back into the team with Darwin Nunez dropping to the bench.
In midfield, I am going to resist the urge to recall Harvey Elliott and keep Jordan Henderson in there alongside Curtis Jones and Fabinho. The Bees' physical approach might be more suited to Henderson, while Jones has been impressive in recent weeks.
At the back, Andy Robertson returns for Tsimikas as Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Trent Alexander-Arnold continue in front of Alisson Becker.
Liverpool (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Jota.

Ian Doyle - Nunez gets the nod on the left
Not long to go now, folks. Not long at all.
And as Liverpool prepare for the visit of Brentford in the Premier League this evening, Jurgen Klopp actually doesn't face that many selection posers.
But that doesn't mean there won't be changes.
Andy Robertson can return at left-back after being benched in midweek, while Trent Alexander-Arnold remains right-back, Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate the centre-backs and Alisson Becker in goal.
Midfield will perhaps need one change with Jordan Henderson unlikely to feature. It's a close call between Harvey Elliott and James Milner, but maybe Milner is better suited to coming on in the second half. Fabinho and Curtis Jones complete the engine room.
It seems unlikely Luis Diaz will start a third game in a row and Diogo Jota is nursing a few knocks. So that means Darwin Nunez moves to the left, Cody Gakpo comes back in down the middle and Mohamed Salah is on the right.
My team (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Elliott, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Nunez.
Theo Squires - Milner considered but he waits for midfield chance
With injuries and knocks slowly creeping back up, Jurgen Klopp’s options in midfield are starting to look a little light again.
It’s a choice between Harvey Elliott and James Milner to come in for Jordan Henderson, who is a doubt, with Fabinho and the in-form Curtis Jones completing the trio. I’ll opt for the former, with the Liverpool vice-captain perhaps getting a final start in the Reds’ last home game of the season against Aston Villa.
Andy Robertson returns in defence, with the rest of the back five unchanged as the inverted full-back system continues.
It would be a bold call to hand Luis Diaz his third start of the week following his return from that serious knee injury, while Diogo Jota needs to be managed carefully as he continues to struggle with knocks. As a result, Darwin Nunez shifts to the left with Cody Gakpo returning as the central striker.
My team (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Elliott, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Nunez.
Keifer MacDonald - Robertson back with Gakpo down the middle
If Liverpool's chances of qualifying for next season's Champions League initially appeared faint, after Manchester United's last-gasp defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday the door to Europe's premier competition may just be ajar.
Jurgen Klopp's side round off their run of three Anfield fixtures in the space of six days by welcoming high-flying Brentford to L4. Victory for the Reds, in their 35th game of the Premier League season, would see them shave the points gap between themselves and the Old Trafford outfit to just one - setting up a pulsating sprint finish to the season, even if United do have games in hand.
For that reason, coupled with the fact that the Reds are not in action for nine days after Saturday night until they travel to Leicester City on Monday week, I'm expecting the Reds' boss to go as strong as possible this evening.
It means Alisson Becker, obviously, retains his position between the sticks. Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk keep their place at the heart of the defence after securing a first home clean sheet since March 5 last time out.
However, Andy Robertson returns to the XI after sitting out of the majority of Wednesday's victory over Fulham with Kostas Tsimikas instead handed a rare start.
In midfield, with the Bees' somewhat direct, counter-attacking style of play surely playing on the mind of Klopp, I'm expecting Jordan Henderson to retain his place alongside Fabinho and Curtis Jones.
Thiago Alcantara could have been a suitable replacement for Jones this evening but after this week's news that the Spaniard will miss the rest of the season due to hip surgery, the 22-year-old is entrusted on the left side of midfield for the eighth Premier League game in a row.
In attack, Mohamed Salah keeps his place knowing a goal against Thomas Frank's side will draw him level with Steven Gerrard in Liverpool's all-time scoring charts. He starts alongside the returning Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz.
My team (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Jones; Salah, Gakpo, Diaz.
