Liverpool line-up confirmed as Jurgen Klopp goes all out attack against Real Madrid

Jurgen Klopp is going for it in the second leg against Real Madrid after naming an adventurous Liverpool line-up featuring four forwards.

The Reds find themselves 5-2 down following the first tie at Anfield, and need a minor miracle this evening to progress in the Champions League.

With injuries in the engine room potentially forcing the manager's hand, Klopp is going all guns blazing with Diogo Jota starting in attack along with the trio of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo.

James Milner and Fabinho look set to form a two-man midfield, with the backline unchanged from the weekend's defeat at Bournemouth. Jordan Henderson is out with illness, while Stefan Bajcetic has suffered a muscle issue.

It remains to be seen exactly how Liverpool line in up in what appears to be a 4-2-3-1/4-2-4 system. But it could potentially be Gakpo in an attacking midfield role, with either Nunez or Jota as the central striker and the other of that pair on the left.

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Milner; Salah, Gakpo, Nunez, Jota.

Subs: Adrian, Kelleher, Gomez, Keita, Firmino, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Elliott, Tsimikas, Carvalho, Matip, Williams.

Real Madrid: Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, Nacho; Kroos, Modric, Camavinga; Vinicius Jr, Valverde, Benzema.

Subs: Lunin, Vallejo, Hazard, Asensio, Odriozola, Lucas V, Tchouameni, Ceballos, Rodrygo, F. Mendy, Mariano, Alvaro.
