Liverpool line-up confirmed as Jurgen KIopp makes bold formation decision for Arsenal

Jurgen Klopp has named an unchanged side as Liverpool are hosted by Arsenal at the Emirates.

Having won 2-0 against Rangers in the Champions League on Tuesday night with something of a new-look formation of a two-man midfield, Klopp keeps faith with the same 11 as the Reds aim to get back to winning ways in the Premier League in north London.

The flexible formation varies between a 4-4-2 and a 4-2-3-1 at times and gives Klopp the luxury of having four attack-minded players in the lineup as he looks to kick-start the campaign away at a side who have been in impressive form all season under Mikel Arteta.

It means Diogo Jota partners Darwin Nunez up top as the Portugal international aims to add to his seven goals against the Gunners as a Liverpool player with his first Premier League start of the campaign.

In midfield, captain Jordan Henderson partners Thiago Alcantara as Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah take up the positions in the left and right, respectively.

At the back, Kostas Tsimikas continues to deputise for Andy Robertson at left-back as Joel Matip is again preferred to Ibrahima Konate as Virgil van Dijk's centre-back partner.

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Henderson, Thiago; Salah, Jota, Diaz; Nunez.

Subs : Kelleher, Gomez, Fabinho, Konate, Milner, Firmino, Elliott, Carvalho, Phillips.
