Liverpool learn Jude Bellingham price tag as 'agent' theories 'confirmed'

Borussia Dortmund will demand between €100m and €150million for Liverpool transfer target Jude Bellingham.

That's according to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg, who adds Liverpool players are still 'pushing' to help win the race for the Dortmund star's signature.

Bellingham has continued to star for England at the World Cup, producing a man-of-the-match performance in Sunday's 3-0 win against Senegal in the round-of-16. The midfielder's driving run and cutback set up Reds captain Jordan Henderson for the opener, before he picked up a loose ball in midfield to set the wheels in motion for Harry Kane to net before half-time.

Such form is inevitably fuelling speculation over the 19-year-old's future, with a growing expectation that he will leave Dortmund for one of Europe's top sides in the summer. Liverpool have long been admirers of the teenager but will face stiff competition from the financially superior pair of Real Madrid and Manchester City.

But there have been theories that Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is also part of England's World Cup squad, have been working behind the scenes to lure Bellingham to Anfield. The trio have become inseparable since arriving in Qatar last month, so much so that Alexander-Arnold has had to deny rumour he was trying to tempt Bellingham to Liverpool.

But now Plettenberg's report seemingly confirms the work of the Reds pair, adding that they and manager Jurgen Klopp are 'pushing' to take pole position in the transfer battle, with Dortmund ready to sell their star in the summer. The Bundesliga outfit will demand upwards of €100million, although the exact amount seems to be rising by the day.

Henderson was the latest to be put to work when he and Bellingham were approached by a Madrid fan pleading with the youngster to move to Spain. The Reds skipper jokingly said 'no, no, not Madrid, not Madrid'.

Reports in Germany also state that Manchester United are out of the race, having shown their initial interest in Bellingham back when he was at Birmingham City. Bellingham is under contract at Dortmund until 2025 and there is no release clause in his deal.
