Liverpool are reportedly leading the race to sign Nicolo Barella from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window as Jurgen Klopp looks to make midfield additions.
Barella's future at the San Siro is thought to be in doubt with both the Reds and Manchester United said to be keeping a close eye on developments ahead of the summer.
A summer rebuild seems set to be on the way at Anfield as Liverpool boss Klopp looks to add new blood to his midfield.

And according to Football Insider, Liverpool are currently leading the race ahead of United to sign Barella in the summer if he was to leave Inter.
The 26-year-old's contract runs until 2026, but the report suggests the Italy international wants to leave Inter, who put one one foot in the Champions League final this week by beating rivals AC Milan 2-0 in their semi-final first leg. A £61m price tag is said to have been placed on Barella's heads.
Liverpool have also been linked with moves for Brighton & Hove Albion's Alexis Mac Allister, Chelsea's Mason Mount, Sporting Lisbon's Manuel Ugarte and Bayern Munich's Ryan Gravenberch.
One person who would be delighted if the Reds complete the capture of Barella is their legendary former captain Steven Gerrard, who spoke highly of the player earlier this week.
