Liverpool 'interested' in signing 'next Mohamed Salah' after tip off

Liverpool are being linked with a move for a player who has been dubbed as the ‘next Mohamed Salah’.

Despite the transfer window not being open for a few more months, the Reds continue to be credited with an interest in potential new players. One of them has been tipped to follow in the footsteps of Salah.

According to a report in 90min , the Anfield hero has informed Liverpool of the talents of Ibrahim Adel, who plays for Egyptian club Pyramids FC. It has been claimed the Reds have sent scouts to watch the player, and are said to have been impressed with what they have seen.

Adel plays as a winger, and has been dubbed as the ‘next Salah’ in certain quarters. However, Liverpool are not the only club credited with an interest in the 21-year-old

The report states that Arsenal, Brentford, Brighton and Nottingham Forest are also expressing an interest in signing Adel. The player was linked with a £2m move to Danish club FC Nordsjaelland over the summer, but it did not materialise after the offer was rejected.

It has been claimed that Pyramids value Adel at around £5m plus add-ons, with a move in the January transfer window possible. However, were this to happen, the report says that whoever signs him would need to loan the player out to a club in Europe before he would be eligible for a work permit in the UK.
