The former Udinese and Valencia man is struggling for starts under Diego Simeone - whose own future is in doubt - and Fichajes claim Atleti could soon cash in on his services.
It is well known that Reds boss Klopp will be revamping his midfield in the summer. England duo Jude Bellingham, of Borussia Dortmund, and Mason Mount, of Chelsea, are both targets.
