Ajax winger Antony looks set to stay at his current employers between now and the end of the transfer window, despite receiving transfer interest from multiple clubs.
Liverpool and Manchester United are two of the team to have been linked with the Brazilian star, who claimed the Eredivisie title last season. United have emerged as strong contenders in the race to recruit the 22-year-old as their new manager, Erik ten Hag, worked with Antony at Ajax before leaving for the Premier League.
Lisandro Martinez is one individual who has already swapped Amsterdam for Manchester to be reunited with his former coach, though it seems both Liverpool and the Red Devils will find it challenging to complete a potential deal as the new season approaches.

Ajax's new manager, Alfred Schreuder, is confident his prized asset will remain at the club and will not be on the move this summer, telling ESPN : "I really think he will stay. Of course, we have sold a lot of players now. That has not happened in recent years. We have also bought players. But we have sold so many players that I assume nobody will leave.
Asked if there is a procedure in place for those looking to seek a new challenge, Schreuder added: "No, we did not discuss that. But we do talk to each other daily. I assume that no one is leaving. If we sell one more key player, it wouldn't be good for us."
Jurgen Klopp's side are already well-stocked in the attacking department and it is hard to see how Antony would have found a way into the Reds' first-team, given the likes of Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Roberto Firmino are already battling it out to feature alongside Mohamed Salah in attack.
Nunez was also a target for United, before the Reds secured a deal that was worth a potential £85 million.
