Manchester City have been told that Erling Haaland is 'guaranteed' to hit the ground running after his blockbuster transfer from Borussia Dortmund. City spent £51million on Haaland to win the race for his signature.
Having missed out on England striker Harry Kane last summer, City turned their attention to Haaland and promptly got their man. He scored 85 goals in 88 games for Dortmund to emerge as one of the most coveted and prolific young strikers in Europe.
The Norway talisman also has 20 goals from his first 21 games for the national team. He will wear the number nine shirt next season and Premier League champions City ought to have no concerns about him settling in.

Writing in his latest column for The Mirror, former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler gave his verdict on Haaland. He said: "I've heard it said he might need time to settle in and, of course, he will have to adapt to the way Pep Guardiola sets up City to play.
"Then there's the Premier League — and the eyes of the world on him — watching to see how he copes with English football. All that might be true but, make no mistake, I'm convinced Haaland will hit the ground running, he's a born goalscorer who has bagged goals for fun since he started playing."
Fowler added: "If you're playing for a big team you should have pressure to perform, especially at somewhere like City. Yet, wherever he's been, goals have flowed and that makes him a confident striker because scoring is second nature to him.
"His stats back it up. They are off the scale for club and country and Guardiola knows that if anyone can guarantee goals, it's Haaland. It all comes so naturally. That's why City have pushed the boat out to sign him."
