Liverpool have reportedly 'sent an offer' to Borussia Dortmund for Jude Bellingham ahead of the summer transfer window.
Rumours hit social media on Tuesday afternoon that the Reds may have made a bid for the England international - and now journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft has given his take on the reports.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made Bellingham one of his top targets for the summer, eyeing the teenager as a potentially transformative figure for the Reds midfield.

Norwegian pundit Fjortoft took to Twitter on Tuesday night to comment on the rumours: "Re: Jude Bellingham. Just to confirm the report earlier today. Liverpool have sent an offer to Dortmund! The roulette is open."
Back in January, Fjortoft claimed: "Re: Jude Bellingham I understand Team Bellingham have told Real Madrid they are talking to Liverpool too. At the moment “no favorites”. As they at this stage are investigating their options."
And in December, he tweeted: "Re: Bellingham...Gakpo is just the start for Liverpool. They will work very hard now to get the financial backing to make a move for Bellingham. For the record: Not in this transfer- window. No way Dortmund would let him him go now".
Bellingham is not the only name being heavily linked with a move to Anfield, with a midfield rebuild on the cards in the coming months. Several stars look set to depart at the end of their current deals and will need to be replaced.
Chelsea contract rebel Mason Mount is well liked inside Anfield and a move could possibly be made in the summer if the England star fails to extend his current deal at Stamford Bridge.
Bayern Munich's 20-year-old Holland international Ryan Gravenberch is another player believed to be of significant interest, with Wolverhampton Wanderers' Matheus Nunes on the list as well.
Conor Gallagher of Chelsea has also emerged as a surprise target under consideration by Liverpool, ahead of what is shaping up to be a busy window.
