Szymon Marciniak will referee Liverpool's Champions League visit to Inter Milan - and has previous with Jurgen Klopp.
Marciniak has been chosen as the main official for the Reds' round of 16 first leg clash at the San Siro on Wednesday night.
It will be the sixth time the Pole has taken charge of a Liverpool game in Europe, with the most recent being the 3-2 home win over AC Milan in the group stage in September.
But his most notable fixture involving the Reds was their 1-0 Champions League defeat at Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 in 2020.

Klopp was unhappy with Marciniak throughout the game, believing he was unable to cope with the intimidation from the Spanish side that prompted the substitution of Sadio Mane at half-time before the forward was sent off.
The Reds boss was also shown a yellow card by the referee during the match, but later admitted: "I deserved it. I was just shouting in the direction, no bad words, I was not swearing,
"I was just unhappy with the overall performance and in that moment it finally came out and the ref didn’t like it too much.

Marciniak also refereed Liverpool's group defeat at Paris Saint-Germain in 2018, the 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow the previous year and the Europa League win over Besiktas in 2015.
In all bar the Atletico game, he has awarded the Reds a penalty.
