Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella is the latest name to be linked with a move to Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp plans to add to his squad during the summer.
According to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Barella has been 'followed for some time' by Liverpool scouts Paul Goldrick and Barry Hunter. The report also claims that Inter value the midfielder at around €80m mark.
The Italian helped his country win the Euros at Wembley and has also claimed Serie A glory during his time at the San Siro. Barella, 26, has been at Inter since 2020 and is under contract until 2026.

And according to another report by Spanish publication Fichajes, Real Madrid have made contact over a move for Fabinho. The report goes on to claim that Carlo Ancelotti wants to add more depth to his midfield and he has identified the former Real Madrid player as a target.
Speaking ahead of his side’s draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday, Reds boss Klopp revealed Liverpool will spend in the summer regardless of whether they get in the Champions League or not.
“It is not helpful,” Klopp said of failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League. “Money always has an impact but this cannot be that much of an impact, let me say it like this.
“Of course it is influential but it is a summer where we have to be in the market definitely. I’m sorry that I cannot guarantee Champions League at this moment but we fight for it and it is not done yet so we don’t have to talk about it as if it is not possible.
“But it is tricky and it will be a late decision I guess, but we have to start work [on recruitment] earlier before we know where we will end up position-wise and European competition-wise. These things are clear.”
