Darwin Nunez has given Liverpool an injury scare before their showdown with Manchester United.
Nunez, 23, was poised to make his Liverpool debut against United after signing for the Premier League runners-up from Benfica during the summer transfer window. United were reported to be interested in the Uruguayan, as newly-appointed manager Erik ten Hag continues to set about his much-needed rebuild.
United begin life under Ten Hag at the Rajamangala Stadium on Tuesday where their summer signing, Tyrell Malacia, could make his first appearance. However, Nunez may be made to wait for his maiden showing after he picked up a 'minor foot issue' in training.

Nunez jetted across to Thailand with his Liverpool teammates. However, after taking part in other sessions during the build-up to their pre-season opener, his involvement in final preparations for the United contest was cut short by medical staff overseeing the session with manager Jurgen Klopp.
That's according to reports from The Telegraph and footage emerging on social media. Nunez, though, was later spotted performing stretches on the sidelines with one of Liverpool's physiotherapists.
It has been suggested Nunez was suffering from a few painful blisters. However, there has been no confirmation with regards to his condition and Liverpool could limit his involvement vs United if there remains any chance the problem could be exacerbated.
