Liverpool FC's Luis Diaz swoons over partner Gera Ponce as winger nets stunning opening goal

Luis Diaz swooned over his long term girlfriend following his goal-scoring performance for the Colombian national team.

Liverpool FC's new number 23 made the move to Merseyside from FC Porto with Gera Ponce and their daughter Roma. Diaz has quickly settled into his new surroundings and received plaudits for his electrifying start to life at Anfield.

The winger swapped the red shirt for the yellow of Colombia last night as he turned out for his country during the international break. La Tricolor were taking on Bolivia at the Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez as they try to overcome the odds to book their place in the 2022 World Cup.

Diaz continued his fine club form as he bagged the opening goal in the 39th minute. The £37m signing picked up the ball on the left wing before he cut in and whipped the ball into the far corner to set his team on the way to a commanding 3-0 victory.

Diaz's family made the trip to Barranquilla to proudly watch another thrilling Diaz performance. Gera regularly shares updates on her happy life with her 156k Instagram followers.

She shared adorable snaps of little Roma in a Colombian shirt along with a family member wearing the colours of Diaz's new club as he donned a Liver Bird-emblazoned cap.

Gera later shared a snap of her wearing the Colombian shirt taken before the game.

Diaz flooded the comments to laud his long-term girlfriend following the post.

Diaz will next turn out for his national side in Wednesday's must-win game against Venezuela. However, they will be relying on Peru to drop points to have any hope of finishing in the play-off spot to keep their World Cup dream alive.
