Liverpool FC fans scammed out of £19,000 for Champions League final tickets
A Liverpool FC fan and his friends were conned out of £19,000 by scammers selling fake Champions League final tickets online.
Ray Mcdonald, from Pensby, Wirral, and his friends received their tickets on Tuesday night ahead of the final in Paris this Saturday, May 28, and initially thought they were genuine. However, upon further examination of the tickets, which cost £1,000 each, the group realised the PDFs were in fact fake.
After trying to contact the ticket tout, who Ray said he has bought tickets from six times this season, he realised their Twitter account had been deleted and their number was no longer in service. The 33-year-old said he has been added to a WhatsApp group with 50 fans who have been scammed out of a total of 125-150 tickets.

He has come forward to warn other fans about the scam and help to stop the same thing from happening to anyone else.
Ray told the ECHO: "We bought 19 tickets at a grand each so we've spent £19,000 between us. It looked legit at first, I didn't think anything of it. About 11pm last night I was about to go to sleep and my phone was going mad.
"I tried to phone [the ticket tout] and it said the number was not in service anymore and at that point I was like 'I've been done here.'"

Boy, 14, stabbed after row with gang on the bus
A teenager was stabbed in the street after getting getting into a row with a gang on the bus.
Merseyside Police rushed to Argyle Street in Liverpool City Centre at around 7.10pm on Wednesday, May 25, following reports of a stabbing. Once at the scene officers found a 14-year-old boy was stabbed after having an argument with with a group of boys on the number 80 bus.
They all got off the bus on Hanover Street and went their separate ways, but not long after the victim and his friends were approached by the gang, one of whom had a knife. The victim was stabbed in the arm pit and the offenders ran off.

The 14-year-old boy did not require hospital treatment. Two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old, from Anfield, Litherland and Crosby were found and arrested by officers. A 15-year-old from Anfield was arrested on suspicion of Section 47 assault and the other two boys, were arrested on suspicion of affray.
A knife believed to have been used in the attack was also found.

How much Liverpool's lost Banksy rat graffiti sold for and where it is now
The mural of a giant rat by the street artist Banksy stencilled on the side of a Liverpool pub has seen many new homes since it disappeared.
Appearing out of the blue overnight in 2004, the striking artwork baffled passers-by when they first saw it on the corner of Berry Street and Duke Street. Since then, Banksy's stock in the art world has risen to point where some of his artwork now sells for millions.
The rat became a local landmark in the city for nearly a decade and had pride of place on the derelict Whitehouse pub building until it was removed in 2013. The former pub is now home to Petit Café Du Coin, a French inspired café bar.

After the building was bought by Ascot Property Group in 2011, work began to salvage the artwork from building's facade. Sincura, the company which managed and restored the artwork, said the rat needed months of restoration work and it was not possible to place it back on the building.
At the time, a spokesperson for the property group said: "Ascot Property Group refurbished the Duke Street building as it was deemed unsafe by Liverpool City Council. We found a render where a Banksy piece had been painted on yet sadly we had no option but to take it down as part of the wider restoration due to the building’s hazardous state.
