Liverpool fans think they've spotted Khephren Thuram clue amid transfer links

Liverpool completed the signing of Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion yesterday.

The 24-year-old scored 20 goals in 112 appearances for the Seagulls and helped Argentina win the 2022 World Cup. He arrives at Anfield for an undisclosed fee.

The deal also marks the first piece of significant business for Jurgen Klopp this summer. Now the Reds are set to step up their recruitment drive ahead of the transfer window officially opening on June 14.

After seeng James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain depart on free transfers, the ECHO understands that midfield remains the priority for Klopp and newly-appointed sporting director Jorg Schmadtke.

Which is why it is no surprise that the Reds could now turn their attention to Khephren Thuram. The ECHO understands that the Nice star is one of several midfielders being assessed following an excellent individual campaign in France's Ligue 1.

And some Liverpool supporters think they have spotted a clue that the deal could be completed sooner rather than later. Reds fans, on various different online platforms, have spotted that a flight is scheduled to take off from Nice airport this morning, landing in Blackpool nearly 90 minutes later.

Thuram and Manu Kone, another player linked with Liverpool, were spotted together in France on Tuesday. The pair were captured chatting on a street as speculation over their futures continued.
