Liverpool fans say same thing after Ibrahima Konate World Cup record-breaking 'masterclass'

France endured an underwhelming end to their World Cup group stage campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Tunisia this afternoon - although it wasn't all bad for Liverpool's Ibrahima Konate.

Didier Deschamps' side topped Group D but failed to continue their unbeaten run through the first stage of the tournament, Wahbi Khazri’s goal the difference after Antoine Griezmann's late equaliser was chalked off for offside. Konate started his second game for Les Bleus in Qatar alongside Manchester United's Raphael Varane - and the Reds defender came in for plenty of praise after another commanding performance.

The 24-year-old made 13 tackles with a 100% completion rate at the Education City Stadium - the most of any player at the tournament so far and the highest total for a centre-back in World Cup history.
