Liverpool supporters have the feeling something is else brewing on the transfer front after Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone were spotted together - once again - while joining up for international duty.
After making Brighton playmaker Alexis Mac Allister their first summer signing, Liverpool will continue their charge for further additions in the engine room before reporting back for pre-season training. Thuram and Kone have been heavily linked as follow-up recruits from OGC Nice and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively.
Thuram and Kone are two highly-rated central midfield players and, aside from speculation over their futures, they have both been named in the France squad for the upcoming U21 European Championships which will take place in Romania and Georgia. That tournament starts next week.
Continuing until mid July, there will be a golden opportunity for people to see some the most talented youngsters on the planet collide - giving Thuram, Kone and others a fantastic chance to put themselves in the shop window for when the market reopens. However, their ability is already recognised in the UK.

Liverpool are by no means the only Premier League side to have been linked with the France midfielders - who are both 22 and yet still eligible for the UEFA tournament - but the Reds are reported to be among the front-runners on the proviso they leave current clubs Nice (Thuram) and Monchengladbach (Kone).
Jurgen Klopp and his recruitment will not stop at Mac Allister as they strive to revamp their squad for next season, while Thuram and Kone being spotted together at Clairefontaine, the training hub for France's national teams, has naturally got people talking on social media. But will the duo pitch up at Anfield following their quest for U21 glory?
A short video clip was uploaded to Twitter by the official FFF account; showing Thuram and Kone walking together and being greeted by senior player Marcus Thuram - Khephren's older brother who has also been tentatively tipped to move to Liverpool himself - with Didier Deschamps looking on.
Here are a selection of comments and replies to that post as taken from social media platform Twitter;
