Liverpool fans make same point to Kylian Mbappe after 'best in the world' claim

Liverpool fans have been reacting to a tweet from Kylian Mbappe.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward has been persistently linked with a move to Liverpool over the past couple of years.

However it is Real Madrid who are tipped to sign the forward when his contract runs out at the end of the season.

But despite Mbappe’s contract situation still being up in the air, it’s his recent tweet that has got Liverpool fans talking.

His tweet referred to his PSG team-mate Achraf Hakimi, writing in capital letters: “Achraf Hakimi. Best RB in the world. Good night guys.”

This came soon after Hakimi scored a free-kick for Morocco to see his country beat Malawi and reach the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Following Mbappe’s tweet, plenty of Liverpool fans took to Twitter to send their views on why they think the France international is wrong - bringing Trent Alexander-Arnold into the equation.

Alexander-Arnold has been in fine form for Liverpool this season, having already racked up 15 assists across all competitions.

He has 10 in the Premier League, which sees him top of that chart, with Liverpool team-mate Mohamed Salah next on the list with nine, closely followed by another Red, Andy Robertson, who has eight.
