Liverpool fans have flocked to the latest social media post of Manu Kone after the Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder was linked with a move.
The Jurgen Klopp' side are being increasingly linked with centre-midfield talents following the series of exits over the summer after the expiry of contracts in the department. Throughout the season, the Reds boss has been forced to field questions on the quality of his engine room with many criticising the options.
Jude Bellingham was frequently mooted with a move to Merseyside but Liverpool shelved their pursuit with fees of around £120m being attached on the England international. Instead, focus has been on welcoming multiple faces to Anfield to spread their spending with Alexis Mac Allister a priority target, as well as Khephren Thuram and Gladbach talent Kone suggested to be on the radar.

Reports in Germany have claimed that Liverpool have made contact with Kone's representatives as they hold a strong interest in the France U21 international. Fans have been quick to hang their hat on the midfielder amid ongoing speculation that he is among the list of midfield candidates compiled by Klopp and his recruitment team.
Jorg Schmadtke was appointed as the new spring director in May and it has been reported that his son, Nils, could take up a chief role at BORUSSIA-Park.
On Instagram yesterday (Saturday), Kone issued a one-word post with the caption "MISSION" accompanied by a reel of his moments throughout the season.
A number of fellow footballers responded including Thuram, another Frenchman linked with Liverpool. Fans of the Reds then swarmed the post trying their best to persuade the midfielder to make the switch.
One user commented: "Welcome to Liverpool FC manu."
Another account added: "ANFIELD IS WAITING FOR YOU."
"Damn!!!! This guy is good. Come to Liverpool man," an Instagram user added.
Some accounts took the chance to comment GIFs of boss Klopp but the general consensus was welcoming Kone to Anfield and his presence in the squad is needed.
