Liverpool fans have reacted on social media after a foul on Diogo Jota was seemingly ignored before Southampton look the lead against the Reds on Tuesday evening.
With Jurgen Klopp's title-chasing team on the attack, Portuguese striker Jota appeared to be fouled from behind by Saints' Brazilian defender Lyanco. But with play waved on by referee Martin Atkinson, the hosts broke away down the other end of the pitch, allowing Nathan Redmond to cut inside before arrowing the ball into the corner of the net.
With no VAR on-field review conducted, the goal was allowed to stand, much to the annoyance of Liverpool supporters on Twitter.

@AnfieldWatch tweeted: "A reminder that Martin Atkinson retires from refereeing this weekend."
Lasse added: "I’m baffled that I still can be surprised over the low standards of the refs in the PL."
Matt Addison said: "That very much looked like a foul on Diogo Jota, and then the shot takes a deflection. #LFC very unfortunate and now a big test."
Joel Rabinowitz added: "Should have a free kick in a great position for a stonewall foul. Not given and end up conceding a deflection. Great."
Paul Tomkins didn't hold back, tweeting: "Southampton score after Atkinson doesn't give us a clear free-kick. Classic Atkinson. Given Liverpool one big decision in the league since 2015. Utter joker."
Despite the injustice, Southampton's lead was short lived, as Takumi Minamino pulled the sides level in the 27th minute with a thunderous shot in the penalty area from an acute angle, after receiving a neat assist from Jota.
Joel Matip then headed in the winner in the second half as the Reds took the title race with Manchester City to the final day.
