Gary Lineker has criticised the decision to award Liverpool a penalty in their win over Crystal Palace.
The Reds managed to secure a 3-1 victory in the Premier League clash at Selhurst Park, but the game was not without controversy.
Liverpool took the lead thanks to a Virgil van Dijk header from a corner, before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain doubled the visitor’s advantage.
However, Palace came back into the contest and got a goal back through Odsonne Edouard in the second half.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were forced to deal with plenty of pressure from the home side, but managed to find some respite when Diogo Jota burst into the penalty area.
After a collision with Vicente Guaita, referee Kevin Friend initially waved away penalty appeals before being advised to look at the monitor where he changed his decision.
Fabinho stepped up and scored the resulting spot-kick to hand Liverpool a hard fought 3-1 victory and leave South London with all three points.
The decision from Friend to change his decision has caused plenty of controversy, with renowned pundit Lineker slamming the decision to give a penalty.
In one tweet, Lineker wrote: “That Is Not A Penalty. Never in a million years.” While in another he said: “That is a genuinely appalling decision.”
Plenty of Liverpool fans actually shared the view of Lineker, and believed that awarding a penalty may not have been the right decision.
The win for Liverpool takes them to nine points behind leaders Manchester City in second place, and still have a game in hand.
