It’s a free world, people don’t realise what this city has gone through. A lot of things have happened with the central government, not just the monarchy, it’s just the way it is.
We more than any other city, we show our feelings and stand up for our rights. I don’t like getting into politics but it’s history more than anything.
We view our thoughts more than anyone else but it’s free speech, it’s up to people whether you agree, disagree, should’ve kept quiet, it is what it is.

I thought it was silly [to play the anthem] because I knew the reaction it was going to get. It would’ve been difficult for them not to play it because it’s been played at every single ground so they had to play it and see what happened.
Look, it’s freedom of speech. There’s a lot of royalists in the city and there’s a lot more non-royalists in the city who want to show their feelings. It’ll never be any different and it won’t change.
You’ve got freedom of speech, that’s the way the world should be, there’s some countries where there isn’t freedom of speech but you can do what you want whether people like it or not.
A lot of people won’t like it, some people agree with it all through England, it’s just there and it’s not going to go away.
Mohamed Salah is a legend but Darwin Nunez is struggling with Liverpool's attacking imbalance
For the last year-and-a-half, Mohamed Salah has been frustrating at times, whenever he gets the ball there are four players around him. When he’s not playing well, he gets stifled out of the game but his numbers are fantastic.
He looks like he’s enjoying his football, he’s had the bit between his teeth in the last couple of months, I just applaud him he’s been ridiculously good for the club.
You talk about the legends of the club that we’ve seen over the years, he’s become one, he’s got a couple more years in him, it’s brilliant.
Darwin Nunez is in between positions at the moment and we haven’t got the balance at the top yet. We’ve got Cody Gakpo who plays out wide but the manager is using him to play the Roberto Firmino role - and doing it well.
Diogo Jota who is a centre-forward playing on the left and sometimes in the middle then you’ve got Nunez playing on the left then coming into the middle. Luis Diaz plays on the left with Mo on the right. Jurgen Klopp hasn’t found the balance yet - whether Nunez is going to be down the middle or not, but what he has got is options.
Sometimes the options don’t suit the player but I think he’s going to do really well for us, he will learn but we must get the balance right.
When I played with John Barnes, Peter Beardsley and Ray Houghton the balance was phenomenal, when Ian Rush played with Kenny, the balance was phenomenal.
The balance isn’t right at the moment and the manager hasn’t got it right yet. Against Man United and Leeds it clicked but it just hasn’t gone right yet.
If Diaz has to start and Salah has to start, you’re left with three players then, it’s complicated for Jurgen - five into three doesn’t go but it’s a squad game now, he’s going to need to find a way to get the balance because you need goals.
