Liverpool family attraction hosting Christmas events with 'snow' flurries and festive crafts

A Liverpool family attraction is hosting Christmas events with magical ‘snow’ showers over the festive season.

Imagine That! In Wavertree has been transformed for the Christmas break and kids can have fun making reindeer food and painting festive fridge magnets, along with all the usual entertainment at the science and discovery centre. Children visiting can experience the festive fun every weekend leading up to Christmas and in the week during the school holidays.

The fun-packed, three-hour guided journey also includes hands-on exhibits, Christmas bingo, a trip to the ‘snow’ room for a magical flurry, and some sweet treats. Visitors can pose for a Christmas-themed photo on the giant digital graffiti screen and receive a digital copy. And like the photographs, every souvenir the little ones make is free as it’s included in the admission price.

Imagine That! manager Abby Wallace said: “We love Christmas at Imagine That! It’s fantastic to see how much joy our festive activities bring to our visitors – both young and old.

“Christmas and the New Year are always better with snow. But even if it’s not snowing outside, our ‘snow’ room is guaranteed to light up little faces. It’s magical for our visitors to watch never-melting ‘snow’ appear before their very eyes. Another must this Christmas is a visit to our lovely sweet treat spot and we’ll have a different treat every day”.

Examples include candy cane mice, gingerbread cookie decorating and a festive hot chocolate drink. There is all the usual building fun, activities and dressing up for kids across the four themed zones – Imagination Village, Artbeatz, Bright Sparks and Slime Factory.

The attraction, on Wavertree Technology Park, is open every weekend until December 18, then December 22 to December 23; December 28 to 31 and January 2 to 3. Tickets are £7.95 for adults, children £14.95 and under 3s £12.95. Adult plus child tickets (one adult and one child) are £22.90. All visitors must book in advance.
