The Merseyside derby is on the of the most anticipated fixtures on the football calendar for Liverpool and Everton but supporters of both clubs may feel themselves enveloped by an impending sense of dread.
It has largely been a winter of discontent with unhappiness not solely restricted to matters on the pitch as frustrations over ownership and transfer activity boil up.
The Blues have won four games in the league all season and currently sit in the relegation zone, a point away from safety.
The Reds are languishing in 10th spot having morphed from a quadruple-chaser to mid-table obscurity.
The ECHO canvassed the views of around 3,000 fans on four key questions and the current results make for interesting reading.

We asked which of the two clubs was having the worst season and Everton took 60% of the vote with Liverpool notching up 40%.
The form of both teams this season is reflected in just how close supporters think the derby will be. A total of 32% think the match this evening will finish in a draw.
A total of 32% think Everton will win achieve only their second win at Anfield since 1999, having triumphed in February 2021 with no supporters present due to the pandemic.
But home advantage appears to have just given the Reds the edge, just, with 36% of respondents confident they will triumph.
As for the bigger picture. Most supporters think the Blues will beat the drop with Sean Dyche in charge. A total of 76% of votes felt Everton will stay up with 24% expecting relegation.
The most emphatic answer of the survey is the view of fans on whether Liverpool will be in the Champions League next season. With Jurgen Klopp's side currently 12 points behind fourth-placed Newcastle a whopping 85% of votes claim they will miss out on European football's elite competition next term.
