Borussia Dortmund issue update on Jude Bellingham transfer
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has revealed 'no offers' have arrived for Jude Bellingham during the January transfer window.
The 19-year-old is a player Liverpool strongly admire, but it is no secret the Reds are not alone in sharing this stance on the teenager. Manchester City and Real Madrid are expected to rival Jurgen Klopp's side for the services of Bellingham, who is likely to command a transfer fee in excess of £100million.

Dortmund have becoming accustomed to losing key individuals in recent years, having cashed in on the likes of Erling Haaland and Jadon Sancho to Premier League clubs, but are aware they find themselves in a position of power when it comes to Bellingham's future.

Liverpool must ask awkward Jude Bellingham transfer question
Forgive me father, for I have sinned, writes Richard Garnett.
On Saturday afternoon I undertook an action that I have never performed before in over four decades of life on Earth but went ahead with it anyway. I placed a bet on Liverpool Football Club to lose a match.
The outcome of course was financially beneficial. My winnings comfortably covered the cost of half a crispy duck with some barbeque spare ribs thrown in for good measure. All paid for by one of Great Britain's long-standing betting companies. The modest punt however, left me with the same emptiness that I suspect would come with winning a league title when you have an open cheque book, but we'll have to see if my position changes on that in the future.
So what exactly motivated me to perform this act of disloyalty? The answer - regret at not doing it sooner when Liverpool played Brentford. The Reds took on the Bees on the second day of 2023 coming off the back of four straight Premier League wins. But anyone paying attention could see that the two victories since the World Cup break were anything but convincing.
Big bruising Brentford looked like a massive banana skin waiting to be trodden on. A pong of inevitable defeat was hanging in the air but betting on a Liverpool loss would have been a first and was dismissed out of hand. Liverpool lost easily 3-1. It had the feeling of a nailed on defeat and so it proved.
The Reds' showing against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup next time out was really no better and arguably worse in patches. In the end, only an offside flag and a lack of VAR cameras, combined with confusion over exactly what the offside rule really is anymore, sparred Liverpool from an embarrassing exit on home turf.
Taking all of that into account, the prospect of facing a Brighton side on the south coast that has seemingly kicked on to another level following the exit of Graham Potter, rather than regressed, drew me to only one conclusion - an absolute home banker. And with that, I performed an act of treachery they gave me little pleasure other than the validation that my suspicions had been proved correct and that crispy duck and pancakes really is a treat the whole family can enjoy.
