Arne Slot Could Become First Liverpool Manager Since 1937 To Do A League Double Over Manchester United At First Attempt

Manchester United were a source of frustration for Liverpool in Jurgen Klopp’s final season. The Reds were held to two draws in the league while the Red Devils mounted a famous comeback in the FA Cup.

Arne Slot though became the first Liverpool manager since Bob Paisley in 1975 to win his first meeting with the Red Devils when they played in September.

Luis Diaz scored two goals in seven first-half minutes before Mohamed Salah scored his customary goal against United to give them a 3-0 victory.

If Liverpool win on Sunday, Slot will become the first Reds boss to do a league double over United at the first attempt since George Kay 88 years ago.
