After a rare day off was spent making full use of their beautiful Austrian surroundings, Liverpool wasted no time in getting back into the swing of things in their Salzburg-based Austrian training camp ahead of their preparations for the new season.
Despite taking to the field against Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday afternoon, Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff will spend Tuesday putting their squad through a gruelling double session. And as the LFC TV cameras were brought out for the opening of the first session on Tuesday morning, here's what was spotted:
Still no sign of the injured duo
There was just two players missing out Tuesday morning as Liverpool entered a light warm-up ahead of what should be a gruelling couple of sessions in the Austrian heat.
Kaide Gordon and Calvin Ramsay were absent from the first part of training, with the Scottish summer signing from Aberdeen having struggled with a long-term injury problem since his switch to Merseyside last month. Upon completion of the first week of pre-season at the AXA Training Centre earlier this month the Liverpool manager revealed that an injury of Ramsay's had been flagged.

“Unfortunately, Calvin is now not training with us at the moment, he has a little injury," Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com. "Nobody knew, we found it when he did his medical check. Until today he has had no problems but the medical department tells us if we don’t take care of that now, he will have a problem in the future.
“So, when you are that young then, of course, he has a long career ahead of him, so we are very responsible in these moments, so he didn’t train yet with the team but is doing a lot of fitness work. So, it will not take too long I think."
Meanwhile, Gordon did not take part in the opening stages of the training session but could be seen standing to the side of the pitch, dressed in full kit, while his team-mates warmed up. Suggesting that he may have been taking part in a light session as he looks to recover from the injury that ruled him out of the tour of the Far East earlier this month.
Alisson takes up light training
Alisson Becker was another noticeable absentee as the Reds took to training on Tuesday morning. While outfielders were put through their paces by the fitness coach, John Achterberg took the Reds' goalkeeping contingent to do their own specific training. Alisson, as expected, couldn't be seen with the likes of Adrian and Harvey Davies as he continued to recover from an abdominal injury he suffered in the Far East last week on his own. The Reds' No.1 was seen performing light kicks and routine shot-stopping drills as he ups his efforts to be fit in time for the new Premier League season.
However, his manager did confirm at the time that the Brazilian would continue to take take part in light training and hoped he would be fit for this weekend's Community Shield clash with Manchester City.
"Ali, I think, has the chance," Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com.
"Ali, he feels a muscle, abdominal. It's nothing serious but, again, we prepare a full season. So he can train but just not like before, so he should not play in the moment. Not normal goalie training but he has a pre-season, so he doesn't lose time."
Julian Ward spotted
Liverpool's new sporting director Julian Ward was also present at training in Salzburg, though, not dressed in his usual smart attire as opted for a more relaxed look, donning the Reds' training tracksuit.
Ward, who took over the reins from Michael Edwards earlier this summer, has had a busy first summer in the role as he's secured the signings of Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho, Ramsay and also solved the ongoing impasse between Anfield officials and Mohamed Salah as the Egyptian penned a new three-year deal with the club last month.
Liverpool will face their second pre-season friendly during their time in Austria on Wednesday evening as they meet with Red Bull Salzburg. Having faced their sister club, RB Leipzig, last week, and with Anfield officials boasting a good relationship with the Red Bull institutions, Wednesday could present Ward with the chance to increase those relationships with further face-to-face meetings.
New arrivals starting to settle
Carvalho and Nunez appear to be adjusting to the Liverpool squad seamlessly as they were full of laughs and jokes during the latest session. Nunez could be seen sharing the training drills with his South American counterpart Roberto Firmino, while Carvalho continued to be taken under the wing by his former Fulham team-mate Harvey Elliott as the pair continued their close-knit relationship.
