Liverpool will welcome League One side Derby County to Anfield in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Legends John Barnes and John Aldridge conducted the draw, broadcast live on Sky Sports this evening following Newcastle United's win over Tranmere Rovers. The Reds were number 16 in the draw and will host Liam Rosenior's side, who currently sit eighth in their league.
Jurgen Klopp 's side enter the competition at this stage as they are among the seven Premier League sides competing in European competition this season. Round three ties will take place the week commencing 7 November, shortly before the domestic season is halted for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Liverpool won the competition for a record ninth time last season, beating Chelsea on penalties in the final at Wembley back in February. It was their first victory in the competition in 10 years as their last win prior to that was in the 2011/12 campaign.
The Reds went on to secure a domestic cup double as they also won the FA Cup in May, once again beating Chelsea on penalties in the final. It wasn't to be in other competitions, however, as they missed out on the Premier League title by a single point to Manchester before Real Madrid beat them 1-0 to clinch the Champions League trophy a week later.
This season, Klopp will hope his side can compete on all fronts once again and they'll now begin their defence of the Carabao Cup.
Merseyside rivals Everton will travel to the south coast to face Bournemouth, while Manchester City will host a blockbuster tie against Chelsea. Manchester United are at home to Aston Villa and in total their are seven all-Premier League matches.
