Luis Diaz to 'undergo surgery' after leaving Liverpool training camp with injury

Luis Diaz will undergo surgery on Saturday on his knee injury after suffering a setback in Liverpool training in Dubai, according to reports.

The Colombian was passed fit to return to training at the start of the Dubai training camp, but felt discomfort in the knee he injured at Arsenal at the start of October.

Diaz was set to feature in friendly matches in Dubai to regain his match sharpness, but has now been sent back to Liverpool following a reoccurrence of the injury.

Brazil make Mohamed Salah mistake as Neymar plan backfires against Croatia

Brazil crashed out of the World Cup on Friday evening after suffering from the same tactic that cost Mohamed Salah and Egypt the Africa Cup of Nations.

Neymar delivered the breakthrough for Brazil against Croatia in extra time, only for Bruno Petkovic to strike three minutes from the end of proceedings to force penalties.

Converting all four of their spot-kicks taken, Nikola Vlasic, Lovro Majer, Luka Modric and Mislav Orsic were all on target from 12 yards and Croatia were not even required to take their fifth effort due to their opponents seeing Rodrygo's shot saved and Marquinhos hit the post.
