Liverpool couple who created app that helps people live a 'balanced life'

A fitness-loving Liverpool couple have helped thousands of people live a healthier life after creating their own lifestyle app.

Holly Braithwaite from Woolton and Callum Webb from West Derby launched the app POW8R in 2021 after working as personal trainers for six years. The app helps users transform their bodies as well as changing their mindsets, lifestyles and habits in order to live a more balanced life.

Prior to launching the app, the couple spent 14 weeks offering free online classes during lockdown, raising over £10,000 for the NHS. Holly and Callum work with both male and female clients and are passionate about helping people improve their mental health as well as their fitness abilities. POW8R now has users in over 40 countries, with people aged between 18 and 60 using the app to improve their lifestyle.

Holly said: "POW8R is more than just a fitness app, it’s a lifestyle with longevity. We work with our members to get life changing results whether that be mentally or physically, aimed at weight loss or weight gain or simply to change bad habits and live a more healthy lifestyle.

"POW8R was born out of helping thousands of people stay active throughout lockdown and now we’re so proud to work with members all over the world. From healthy recipes to over 600 workouts to choose from on demand, as well as weekly new live workouts, POW8R has everything you need to commit to a healthier, better you.

“POW8R is unique because each member receives a personalised plan. There’s no one size fits all approach, and we personally check in with each member to ensure they get their desired results.”

To celebrate International Women's Day today (Wednesday, March 8), Holly and Callum are offering a 50% discount on POW8R memberships. To access the offer, customers can use the discount code IWD50. For Holly, helping to support women during and after pregnancy is especially important.

She added: "For International Women’s Day, it’s really important to Callum and I to give back and celebrate all of the amazing women in the city and beyond. We’re offering 50% off sign-ups for one day only so that’s half the price of any monthly, quarterly or yearly sign-ups.

“After going through pregnancy, and now being in my post-natal phase, I have more admiration for women and what they go through. Running a business is hard, managing a household is challenging, having children is tough on women, juggling a career and home life is demanding, and we’re here to celebrate each and every woman and their different lifestyles - you’re all amazing!”
