Liverpool consider another 'Naby Keita swap deal' for £17m midfielder

Liverpool star Naby Keita is once again being linked with a swap deal away from Anfield.

The future of the Guinea international has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks. Keita’s current deal is set to expire at the end of next season, with the club thought to be keen on handing the player an extension.

Reports last week claimed that a swap deal could be on the cards involving Keita, with Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella moving the other way to Anfield. Barella, who is an Italy international, is valued at around £77million and was first linked with Liverpool last summer.

Now a fresh report has listed another player who has been tipped to be part of a swap deal involving Keita. This time it involves Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Rabiot was first linked with Liverpool last week, with the Serie A club thought to be keen on parting ways with the player due to his wage demands. Rabiot, like Keita, also has one year left on his current contract.

According to Calciomercato, Liverpool could offer Keita to Juventus as part of a swap deal to get Rabiot. It has been claimed that both players are valued at £17m and no fee would be involved for either club.

The report adds that Juventus’ move for Paul Pogba means they are looking to move Rabiot on this summer. However, with Liverpool waiting until 2023 to move for a new midfielder, it’s highly unlikely that Jurgen Klopp would sanction a departure for Keita this year.
