A Liverpool chippy that serves 'excellent' fish and chips has been ranked as the top chip shop in the city according to TripAdvisor users.
Fish and chips have long been a popular take away treat and everyone seems to have their favourite place to go for a chippy feast. In Liverpool we're lucky to have so many brilliant fish and chip shops to choose from but there's one in particular that customers seem to love, calling it a 'proper traditional chippy'.
Yanni's Traditional Fish and Chips is located on Lord Street in the city centre and has been praised for its quality food and friendly service. The chippy has amassed several glowing reviews on TripAdvisor, with 172 users describing the shop as excellent.
One happy customer said: "A proper traditional Liverpool chippy. Fish is battered and fried to order, chips are excellent and the staff are down to earth. I've been to Yanni's half a dozen times. The level of service and quality of food have been consistently top notch."

Another TripAdvisor user wrote: "Dropped in over the weekend for a quick bite. The food was excellent! Piping hot and the freshest fish. Friendly service and food was just the thing on such a cold day. Better than other chippy shops nearby."
