Liverpool fans could well be seen wearing Celtic colours as they travel across Europe and the Premier League's finest stadiums next season - with the Reds having a shirt 'leaked' that largely resembles Celtic's home kits of years gone by.
A 7-0 mauling of bitter rivals Manchester United on Synday gave Jurgen Klopp's men a glimpse into what could happen once Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo click into gear next season. The Reds duo both bagged braces alongside Mohamed Salah, whilst Roberto Firmino signed off from the north-west derby in style with a late goal after announcing that he would be leaving Anfield in the summer.
This season has represented a lot of change for Klopp's side, with doubts coming after losses to strugglers Wolves, Leeds and Nottingham Forest. Teething problems have occured, and many have wondered if the German had simply ran his course as boss after a superb seven year spell which has included Premier League and Champions League title wins. But with four wins in five, the good times are back at Anfield - and with fans looking ahead to a trophy-laden season next time out, a kit has been 'leaked' in timely fashion - emulating Celtic's home shirt.
Donning three green hoops across the jersey, Liverpool have retained their sponsor, Standard Chartered, alongside their strong affiliation with Nike and sleeve sponsor, Expedia. The three hoops are all in striking fashion; a thick, jagged black edge supports each hoop.
Despite the link with the Hoops' home kits, Liverpool fans across the board have not taken kindly to the style and design. One said on Twitter: "This is genuinely one of the worst kits i ever witnessed", whilst another said: "Looks like a chewed up Sporting Kit."
