Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp slammed for 'making excuses' ahead of Nottingham Forest FA Cup clash

Nottingham Forest fans have piled in on comments recently made by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

The German has been complaining about fixture congestion in English football for some time, leading to calls from Forest favourite Colin Barrett for him to "shut up".

Many Forest fans have backed up Barrett's sentiment, with plenty of sarcastic empathy being shown Klopp's way.

Here is what some Reds have been saying online:

Gary Towlson : He can always play the under 18s against us then won't have to worry about cup games

David Taylor : I think he should rest Salah!

Greg Burton : Anybody would think they play 3 times in 7 days like all lower leagues do

Jason Faulkner : Tough at the top.

CheckPlease@22 : Liverpool are running scared simple as that. making excuses already.

Tricky123 : Let’s not forget in Colin Barrett’s days there was only ONE sub allowed….Never mind five!! Games gone soft

'Sean Connery’s Ghost' : I do love me some Klopp. He is a great manager and from what I have observed, a straight up decent guy. But let's be honest, Klopp has been complaining about the congested schedule ever since he came into the league. He is German! The Bundesliga takes a whole month off in the winter! This is a non story.

I fully expect him to bring his best team and make a run at the cup. He understands the rivalry that exists between these two clubs and he will make the most of it.
