Chelsea scout 'rejoins' Liverpool after exodus of backroom staff

Sven Dworaczek is returning to Liverpool after leaving Chelsea as the Stamford Bridge club drives towards a data-led approach to transfers under their new ownership.

According to a report by the Guardian, Dworaczek is returning to Anfield after leaving his role as a European scouting coordinator at the West London club. The report goes on to claim that the 32-year-old was hired by Scott McLachlan, who has also left his position as the club’s head of international scouting.

Leonardo Masieri, the report also claims, is another who is leaving his role as a European scouting coordinator after accepting a role at City Football Group, Manchester City’s parent company. Both Dworaczek and Masieri have left on good terms, it is claimed.

Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have overseen heavy internal restructuring since taking over the Stamford Bridge club back in May. As well as restructuring the scouting department, Graham Potter has also replaced Thomas Tuchel as head coach.

Key member of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool backroom quietly moves to Manchester United

Former Liverpool club doctor Jim Moxon is now working for Manchester United following his departure from Anfield during the summer.

Liverpool announced back in August that Moxon, who joined the Reds back in the summer of 2016 as head of sports medicine and fitness at the Academy, would be leaving his position in order to pursue other challenges.

Dr Moxon oversaw the Anfield club's response to the Covid-19 pandemic three years ago and had been an integral member of Jurgen Klopp’s backroom staff. He was credited with making a major contribution to Liverpool’s recent success, through his excellent work in the field of sports medicine.

But the Reds could very soon be coming up against their former doctor after he accepted a role at Manchester United. The Old Trafford club confirmed last month that their long-standing club doctor, Steve McNally, was leaving after 16 years to take up a new role at the PGMOL.
