Liverpool had to dig in at the San Siro on Wednesday evening, but ultimately delivered the goods with a fine 2-0 away win against Inter Milan in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg.
Second half goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah did the business for the Reds against the high-energy Nerazzurri in what proved to be a highly competitive match up.
Jurgen Klopp demonstrated the benefit of having a strong squad by making a triple second-half substitution that helped to tip the game in Liverpool's balance.

Kylian Mbappe would reportedly consider moving to Liverpool at the end of the season.
The France international forward has not signed a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain and with his current deal set to run out in the summer, it's been assumed he would leave the Parc des Princes.
After making efforts to sign Mbappe ahead of the season, Real Madrid have largely been assumed to be the 23-year-old's next destination.
However, according to a report from Catalan newspaper Sport, the details of the transfer have not yet been rubber stamped.
It's said that Mbappe could still agree a contract extension with the Parisians and that Liverpool are still an option, with the Reds said to 'want him'.
Liverpool are said to represent an 'interesting' prospect for Mbappe, while it's suggested that if Real were to miss out on him then there could be an 'earthquake' in Madrid.

Liverpool are facing competition from Chelsea for the signature of Hugo Ekitike, but they are not the only clubs interested in the Reims striker.
The teenage forward has already notched up nine goals in 20 Ligue 1 matches this season, weighing in with a couple of assists as well.
According to the Mirror, Liverpool have set themselves a 'bold new ambition' and are following Jamie Carragher's advice to be 'more like Chelsea', who are reportedly preparing to table a £33m bid for the young talent.
However, both clubs face a challenge from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund who look set to lose Erling Haaland at the end of the season and see Ekitike as a natural replacement.
Newcastle United are also understood to be tracking the player, who has been dubbed the 'new Kylian Mbappe'.
