They've been making waves in the city and across Europe with tracks that successfully evoke nostalgia while simultaneously expressing the zeitgeist of the time - allowing fans to feel connected to one another and almost as though anything is possible.
Often lauded as one of the city's most exciting new bands, they have attracted thousands to their intoxicating, exciting and energetic shows and have now confirmed they're determined to tackle America.
The band is "proud" to be embarking on such a venture, particularly as breaking America feels "impossible".
Speaking to the ECHO, Red Rum Club said: "Going to America is always something you want to do when you start a band but it seems like such an impossible task. We've played all over the UK, Europe and even South Korea so this really feels like something we've earned over the last few years.
"To have this opportunity is amazing and it’s a proud moment for us that could be the start of a really exciting chapter for this band. Who knows?"
Red Rum Club are touring the United States with popular indie band The Lathums, who hail from Wigan.
The tour begins on March 6 in Chicago, Illinois before they head on to Philadelphia, then Brooklyn, Austin, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
